The way the weather is today, I feel as though I should be featuring snowsuits (as it is, I’m snuggling up in those fabulous Sweaty Betty ski baselayers I featured a few weeks ago!) but instead I’m reminding myself that one day warm weather will come to London. I can’t think of a better day to celebrate the start of spring than with this pair of electric blue capris from luxury London sportswear brand Lucas Hugh.
These beauties have a lacquer-finish fabric that flatters and appears to slim and lengthen the thighs by highlighting the centre of the leg.
I really like the metallic accents on the hip, contrasting ventilation panels on inner thigh and the high-viz detailing at the waist which I think lends a bit of an 80s New Wave vibe, without being slavishly retro.
The Flash Capris are also available in navy blue and rocket red.
Also worthy of mention are these Lexington leggings. Print leggings are everywhere at the moment, but I especially like the city print of New York on this pair.
Lexington Leggings (City Print) – £225
I also approve of the fact that they are high performance running leggings, the design features – high-viz panels, pinhole mesh on inner and outer thigh for ventilation, ankle zips, phone holder, key pocket – are exactly the things I want in a pair of running tights. So many of the other print leggings around at the moment are just basic Lycra leggings that will slip down if you try to run in them!
What is your favourite luxe sportswear brand? Have you embraced the print legging trend?
