I’m a big fan of ballet and barre-based workouts so I’m extremely excited about Sweaty Betty‘s latest collaboration with the English National Ballet. The new Dance Statement line is functional but fabulous, designed to cope with rigorous dance training while looking feminine and fashionable.
I couldn’t pick just one, so here are three of my favourite pieces from the collection:
Barre Dance Tee – £50
The first of two special edition t-shirts to mark the partnership. A lightweight, relaxed viscose top with scoop neck and 3/4 sleeves. It would be perfect for warming up or cooling down, layered over a leotard or vest top.
Chaines Long Legwarmers – £29
I love a good pair of legwarmers, the longer the better as far as I’m concerned. These thigh high beauties come in a chunky knit with stirrup heels.
I was wondering how long it would take for the lace shorts trend to filter its way into sportswear. These dance shorts are made from sweat-wicking fabric and have a flattering deep waistband.
As if the collection wasn’t exciting enough, Sweaty Betty will be running a ballet-inspired Get Fit 4 Free Campaign in February 2013. For more information visit their website
