How to keep your New Year’s Resolutions

I’ve just signed up for the next session of PT Mollie Millington’s Virtual Training Group which begins on 14th January.

I’ve started so many years with good intentions and a huge list of New Year’s Resolutions only to give up half way through January. This is partly because I usually make my NYR’s in a state of panic when I feel the need to atone for a week of sheer indulgence, and as a result I pick completely unrealistic targets. And partly because January is a tough month, financially, emotionally and physically and to be honest I just run out of motivation.

The Virtual Training Group (VTG for short) is a virtual support network of like minded individuals. Mollie asks all participants to set SMART Goals (that are specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, time-bound) and will work with each participant to fine tune the goals for success.

The VTG runs for 8 weeks, and each week starts with a Monday Morning report email and motivational tips from Mollie and another member. I hope that the accountability of reporting every week will help me stay on track when other people are slipping back in to bad habits, and that having the support of other members (and Mollie’s expertise) will help me overcome the problems that usually derail my NYRs.

The best news is that VTG is free for new members and only £10 for veterans, so it’s perfect for January when money is tight.

If you’d like to join me and the VTG check out Mollie’s website for more information
