Want to create the prima ballerina look for yourself? Me too! Here are my top ballet-inspired beauty products to achieve that look, I’ve deliberately gone for a pretty pink and smokey grey palette with the makeup rather than dramatic black and red colours because the latter isn’t really a new look for me (nor for regular Diary readers)

L’Oréal Elnett hairspray is a favoured product of dancers and models everywhere – it provides maximum hold which lasts for hours through strenuous dance routines or long photoshoots in front of the wind machines.

Shu Uemura Precise Volume Mascara is lightweight, waterproof and sweatproof. It creates volume without getting clumpy.

Vaseline Pink Bubbly lipbalm – a limited edition champagne flavoured lipbalm from Vaseline, available exclusively at Selfridges. It moisturises your lips while giving them a glossy, pink sheen.

MAC ‘Gleeful’ Mineralize Blush – a beautiful pinky lightweight powder blush, the mineralize pigmets reflect light so work amazingly well under stage lights.

The Royal Ballet collection from Berkeley Square – a range of soothing, calming and re-energising products for dancers, athletes and anyone in need of some TLC. My favourite products from the range are the Cooling Muscle Gel and the Intensive Hand & Foot Cream.

Moroccanoil Intense Hydrating Mask – a five minute treatment for stressed, dry, over-treated hair.

Flowerbomb perfume by Viktor and Rolf – a fun, flirty, feminine, floral fragrance.

Laura Mercier Kohl Eye Pencil in Stormy Grey – I love Laura Mercier kohl eye pencils, they create a sultry smokey eye look with minimum fuss. The Stormy Grey is more subtle than black kohl.

Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation – a versatile foundation that can be used on face and body. It gives full coverage without looking like old school pan stick, and smoothes and softens the skin.

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse – a gorgeous dry oil which creates a subtle golden shimmer on the skin – it would look fantastic under lights, whether on stage or in the club.

Laura Mercier Undercover Pot – this clever little product contains my favourite concealer ever – Secret Concealer, with the award winning Secret Camouflage and a setting powder. If you’ve been rehearsing way into the small hours and need to cover up those dark circles then this is the product for you!

Bourjois Little Round Pot Eyeshadows – no5 – a shimmery pale pink; no 25 – a silver eyeshadow with diamond sparkles and Bourjois Touche Illuminarice – perfect for highlighting your cheekbones and socket bones

OPI New York City Ballet Nail Polish Collection – chic, delicate soft colours with names like Barre My Soul and My Pointe Exactly.
