There are only five days to go until competition starts in the 2012 Olympic Games. If, like me, you are feeling inspired to get involved during the next couple of weeks, then why not take part in Olympathon – an Olympic-themed blogging event for fitness enthusiasts.
Becoming an Olympathon Athlete is easy, between 27th July and 12th August simply try out one of the official Olympic sports – extra kudos if it is something you have never done before – blog about your experiences, display the badge below on your blog and link back to this post. If you are tweeting use the #olympathon hashtag.
What will you be trying?

I love this!!!! Not entirely sure what I’m gonna try. Maybe some of the track and field events and some tennis.
Hey Mindy, I’m really pleased to have you on board! Track and field are great events, I’m trying archery, fencing and will think of a couple more to try!
ooo I will definitely give it a try. I am having trouble with plankathon though. Feel free to bug me into submission. Fantastic idea!
I am SO in! I plan on doing the triathlon. Even though I’m training for one now; I think it’ll give me an idea where I stand training-wise & what I need to work on. I’m also re-blogging this to my blog. I have followers that LOVE a good challenge!
I’m excited about the Olympics and giving this a go! I’ll be blogging about it in the next day or two!
I’m in, but of course I’ve started about 4 weeks ago with my triathlon training, so I’m a bit ahead of the game. =) I don’t have to blog daily again, do I? =P
